Easy multiplication trick for number 11

Some easy multiplication tricks that help you to calculate the results in mind? How do multiply large numbers with number 11?

Some of us use this trick that seems to be easy way. Respresnt 11 = 10 + 1 and then multiply number by 10 and add the number itself. For example if we need the result of 43 x 11  then we would do (43 x 10) + 43 this result would be 430 + 43 = 47There is another better way, yes there is try this trick and take a 5 question quiz The easier way is as follows in the earlier example 43 x 11 : You can solve this way1. Add the two digits of numbers to be multiplied by 11 i.e in this case 4+3 = 7

2. Insert the number between the two digit i.e = 4 and 3 so number is 473

3. REMEMBER : rule will be slighty different for large numbers where digit adds to more than single number for example if you are trying for  97 x 11 in that case 9 +7 will add to 16. So the need to be carried forward and added to 9 so is goes as follows

Result is 1067    – 10 from (9+1) 6 from 16 and 7
